Cutting Back - Saving Money
How often have you heard that families can’t survive on one income? It is hard - Yes! However with some planning, it can be done - we’ve been at it for 17 years now - WOW! We haven’t arrived yet and still very much live paycheck to paycheck - but we’re working on changing that.
One of our biggest monthly outlays is with food. With a family of 7, food doesn’t last long in this house, and to be honest - I’m not always very good with planning - both for meals and groceries. Actually - grocery shopping for me ranks lower than cleaning the toilet - LOL! I just hate getting ready to do it, I hate going out and doing it, I hate putting the groceries away! Unfortunately however, I like to eat and so does my family so I must do it.
I ran across an ebook that I’m really looking forward to reading after we get moved. It’s called How A Family Of Five Can Feast On $35/Week. I have done the coupon thing, the rebate thing, the sale thing, and while they do save some money - the amount of time it takes VS the savings doesn’t always add up for me - so I’m interested in seeing if this guy’s plan will really work and will report back here in a few months to let you know how we did. In the mean time - if you have purchased his book, and have tried it out I would love to hear from you to see what you thought of it, did you actually save money, is it simple to implement, etc.
I do promise to get back to my eBay story real soon - but you may have to wait until after we get moved so I have more time to write.
Until next time - have a wonderful Day!
